I’ve said before that my goal, and my prayer, everyday is to make a difference for at least one person. It never has to be anything big, but you’d be surprised how sometimes things we think are no big deal really affect other people.

It is truly amazing what a smile can do not just for the people who see it but also for the person who gives it.

Did you know that’s not just a great metaphor, but it’s actually, biologically true? When we smile, our brain releases little molecules that help alleviate stress. And if you don’t know what all stress can do to your body, do a little research. Stress can cause so many problems physically that are truly shocking. So when you share a smile you are helping yourself immensely!
And you’re also helping anyone who sees you smile! Seeing someone smile at us triggers a “reward” response in our brains which makes us feel better and also releases those molecules that cut stress. Amazing, right?!
Make someone smile today. Use your own smile to spread the joy. Nehemiah 8:10 tells us that “the joy of the Lord is [our] strength.” Smile – spread some joy and some strength.
