People are CONSTANTLY telling me that I’m inspiring and have such a giving heart…

It’s something I hear A…LOT. But they don’t really know WHY.

Why am I encouraging and inspiring? WHAT really makes me go? What makes Sarah Titus tick?

Here’s what it is…glitter and God.

Listen I LOVE bright colors and glittery stuff. I surround myself with things that make me HAPPY. Things that I LOVE. I constantly saturate my mind, my life, my home with things that make me feel GOOD.

Maybe it’s a tulip arrangement on my window sill in my office.

Perhaps it’s that Z Gallerie geometric candle holder that I’m absolutely obsessed with so I have two in my house and am looking for another one (#truestory). 😂

Maybe it’s creating printables all day long to be surrounded by BRIGHT and PRETTY colors! Colors that affect my mood and make me happy, so that I CAN serve others and be an encouragement.

Whatever it is, it’s all about the bling. The glitter. The bright and cheerful colors.

But mostly…it’s about GOD.

Without God, I’d still be homeless. Without God I wouldn’t be living where I am, or have this blog, or have the life I have. Without God I would be just another homeless person statistic.

I didn’t want that for my life. I fought hard to get to where I am. I fought hard to obey God when everyone was telling me to shut up and go home. I kept going. I kept fighting to have a better life, to be who He wanted me to be, b/c I saw He had more in store for me than just a mediocre life in a small apartment.

Please understand. I’m not knocking small apartments. But I didn’t want to STAY there forever. I wanted to grow and get better and give my kids a different life than the one they…the one WE were dealt.

So WHAT my ex-husband left.

That shouldn’t stop us from having a good life that’s full to the brim with happiness and friends and love.

👉 And it shouldn’t stop you either.

No matter what you’re situation, whether you’re in the happiest of times (YAY!) or you’re in a slump, God is there.

HE is what keeps me going. When the world is cruel and BRUTAL, HE’S there for me. HE keeps me from falling apart and believe me when I say, there have been MANY, MANY times when I sit there wanting to throw in the towel and give up.

But I don’t. B/c I have the Lord Jesus Christ on my side and I KNOW, just around the bend, is a new day. A new dawning (here’s a song to remind you). A new chance to make this life something special and NOT mediocre.

What makes you happy to be alive?

For me, it’s glitter and God. Bright colors. Happiness. Fun. God. But whatever YOUR “powered by” is…embrace it. Love it. Treasure it. And whatever you do, never be embarrassed by it. This life isn’t meant to live embarrassed by feeling a certain way. It’s about being uniquely and wonderfully YOU. Cherish who you are. Cherish who God made you to be!!! 💖💖💖
