Picture a crisp winter afternoon, and you are curled up in your favorite chair, watching the rain drop outside, drinking a cup of hot tea and eating a healthy Baked Apple Donut…or two…or three. I mean, after all…they ARE baked, not fried, right. 😉
That’s what I picture every time I make these homemade donuts.
They are so yummy and will make your whole house smell delicious too!
DIY Baked Apple Donuts Recipe
- 2 Cups flour
- ½ Cup cornstarch
- ½ Cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1 Tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Cup milk
- ¼ Cup butter
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Cup chopped crisp apples
Baked Apple Donuts
Ingredients
- 2 Cups flour
- ½ Cup cornstarch
- ½ Cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1 Tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Cup milk
- ¼ Cup butter
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Cup chopped apples
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Prepare a donut pan with non-stick spray.
- In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and cornstarch.
- Add the sugar and cinnamon, and mix well.
- Incorporate the egg, milk, and butter.
- Add the vanilla extract and chopped apple.
- Mix well until no lumps are left.
