I started using thicker paper recently and it makes them so much better!! I have a ream of this paper and use it for a bunch of different things, so I already have it on hand. I wouldn’t buy a ream just for these cards as a one-time thing, but if you already use it or need it for other purposes or are printing these cards year after year, here’s the one I use. It’s like cardstock and prints well in a printer.

Set Up A Family Reading Time With These Printable Bookmarks To Color
I love it when I can use printables to help encourage quality family time! These colorable bookmarks for kids are no exception. 😊
Pick one night during the week, or a weekend day, and get prepared with this list:
- A book for everyone
- Crayons, colored pencils or markers
- Scissors
- A small bin or bucket
- Lots of blankets and pillows
BEFORE you start, have everybody place their phones or tablets in the bucket so there are no distractions. 😉 And place it in a corner out of sight and reach!
Let everyone pick their own book and bring them to the family room. Bring out these fun printables and let everyone (parents TOO!) color their own bookmark to use! Spend about 30 minutes reading while cozied up on the couch or floor together, and then take about 30 minutes to talk as a family about what each of you read!
You can make this a weekly routine and your whole family will look forward to this awesome time together. 😊
These awesome bookmarks to color are sure to be a hit with your kiddos and get them excited about reading!
• Other printables are either functional OR cute. I bridge the gap between the two. Since I'm a single mom and don't have time to mess around and am a kid at heart, I love something that actually propels me forward and gets the job done quickly, while still having that super cute vibe I'm known for.
• I'm a graphic designer FIRST. This means my printables, whether free or paid for, will always be of the highest quality and print crisp and clear on any printer.
• I love what I do and I do the work myself. I'm not hiring these out. This is my life, my hobby, my passion, my heart.
• My fans are obsessed with my work. To date, I've made over $23M on printables alone (organically) in the past 8 years.
Yes! Except for some large binders, all printables on the blog are 100% free for personal use. I make these because I genuinely want you to have something cute and helpful right now without having to spend a dime. You deserve a life that feels more peaceful, more organized, and more you, and if a simple printable can make your day feel lighter, I am so happy to give that to you.
Absolutely! You're welcome to print as many copies as you need for your own students or church groups. I only ask that you do not edit them in any way (leaving the full copyright line in tact) or sell them or host the digital files on other websites. Please always link back to this post to share with others.
For best results, I recommend printing on 8.5"x11" white paper. These are professionally designed as high-resolution PDFs so they will stay crisp and clear, making them perfect for any printer.
