Starting a blog is extremely rewarding. Helping others, feeling useful and making a difference in a field is what drive most people starting a blog. Of course, the financial aspect is also crucial but I think you should start blogging only if you really like the subject of your blog, blogging shouldn’t be a duty…

Absolutely true. 🙂

Hello Sarah!
I’m in the process of moving – AGAIN! I’m a missionary.
As soon as I turn in the truck rental keys and get 3 days of sleep, healthy food and rest – I’m gonna come back to this area and get started thru your blog.
Keep me in prayer. I’ve got questions too!
Sarah Titus says
Praying for you, Elaine. <3

I did think about it as have a lot to share. However one thing I don’t have a clue about is how to start and share the blog. What website can do that? Etc.
Anyway. Amazing. Love your blogs and info. Just found I yesterday and I am addicted already. Thank you.
Sarah Titus says
That’s great Jana, you totally should. Especially if you have a lot to share. 🙂 As far as how to share the blog, I would just start with family and friends, share your posts on social media, and the better content and pictures you have, it’ll start to take seed and grow. Not saying it’s not a lot of work, but you really would just need to get in there and do it, learning ONE step at a time.

Sarah Titus says
Ellen, it sounds like it might be too much on your plate to take on an endeavor like that, but ultimately, I’m not sure that anyone could answer the question except for you. :/

Sarah,
I just want to let you know that you’re one of the most inspiring bloggers I’ve read so far. For the past few months I’ve been toying with the idea of creating a lifestyle blog, but I haven’t really started working on it because I’m afraid it won’t be worth the trouble. However, after reading a few of your posts, I feel soooo inspired and ready to try.
Thank you so much!
Happy Holidays and a Happy 2016 for you and your family!
Sarah Titus says
Aww, thanks Beatrice. I’m so glad you find it inspiring. 🙂

Hi Sarah, I am thinking of starting a blog, how does a pinterest account help with blogging?? Thanks, Alison
Sarah Titus says
Pinterest is how I get a lot of traffic. 🙂 It’s a traffic source, like Facebook.

I just started my blog under 3 months ago and it’s been such a rewarding experience so far! I’m working on monetizing it and developing traffic. I’m surprised at the strong response I’ve found in social media so quickly! Thanks for helping by writing about blogging. It’s been so helpful!
Sarah Titus says
That is great you have come so far in such a short period of time. Your site looks fantastic. 🙂

Sarah, I retired after 29 years in medical practice management in 2011, not by choice. My oldest daughter and I then decided to start an embroidery business. We had everything ready to go and she had a massive stroke at age 41. So, I couldn’t continue with the business. My daughter had two girls who are now 22 and 16. We have been helping them get through school. So this is why I need to earn money. This August 20th we will be married 50 year’s and we would like to go somewhere nice. I have been trying to do mlm and have not been able to make any money at all. Do you think that I could make money by doing this and can you help me?
Willette says
Wow Sarah! That’s quite a list! Thanks! I’ll keep coming back to this to stay inspired!
Sarah Titus says
Glad you like it Willette. 🙂

Hi Sarah, I am 53 and am at the point in my life that I would love to stay home! I am a nurse and have been for the last 25 yrs. I was recently diagnosed with severe arthritis in my back and hip. I would absolutely love to start a blog and I must say that you have been my mentor/inspiration. I am not sure what to blog about? I love talking to people and helping them and new to the essential oils, but falling in love with them. Any suggestions? (Admiring you from Evansville, IN.) Go women!! 🙂
Beth says
Do you have suggestions for email services? I want to start a blog but would like an email account for just that separate from my personal email.
Autumn W. says
Hi Sarah,
I’m a single working mom. I work almost every day 9 hr shifts. I like my job, but what I really want is to be home with my son. I’m not entirely sure what to blog about or if blogging is for me. But, if I do start a blog and end up successful, how do taxes work? Lol That’s always my number one question. My long term goal is to be able to successfully stay at home, but have enough money and time to do things with my little guy. Please let me know; thanks.
Sarah Titus says
Autumn, that is a great endeavor. 🙂 For taxes, you’ll want to hire a CPA. They will tell you exactly what to do, step by step. Every state has different rules, and they will know them best. 🙂

Sarah – you’re a God send to me. I keep coming back to your site to keep me motivated to work towards getting a blog started. It will get there. LOL BTW – the link on “picture taking skills” seems to be not working. It was an area I was curious about. Thought I would let you know. Keep smiling – we need you. God’s blessing on all you do.
Sarah Titus says
I’m so glad it’s motivating! <3 Thank you for the heads up on the link as well. The course I was recommending is currently closed, thus why the link isn't working. I went ahead and removed it.

Hi Sarah,
Thank you for helping SAHM finding a meaning to their life via blogging. My main block to start is to decide the topic for my blog. In your opinion should I more focus on my audience or on the topic?
Sarah Titus says
That’s a great question Mary. Could you elaborate a little bit about what you mean?
Mary says
I will talk about my personal perception. What I mean by niche is SAHM who are looking for new sources of making money. In this case, I will share my experience in day trading but also all the supportive activities I did around it: such as self development, time management, household tips, daily/weekly routines..
When I asked about topic, I meant “Trading”. My posts will focus only on my experience about trading and all information around this topic.
Hope my question is clearer now
Thank you for your support and quick reply

Hello Sarah,
I am a mom of two boys under three, (living in Toronto), and a mental health RN, doing mostly group therapy and individual counseling. To the glory of God, I have received a lot of positive feedback from my co-workers about my skills. I love what I do (I find it extremely rewarding) but lately, I’m beginning to feel that I do not want to work for an employer anymore. I feel very strongly about being self-employed. One reason for this is that I sometimes feel stifled regarding how I interpret my roles and responsibilities at work, for example, talking about God during my sessions. I believe that having my own platform (a blog) will afford me the opportunity to merge my clinical expertise with biblical promises and provide support and encouragement to individuals with depression and/or anxiety. I feel scared about starting and unsure how to. Please help!
