Every mom should have an option to stay home with her children, regardless of income

New? Start Here

Hello! I am SO glad you are here.

My mission is to reach every mom on the planet with the message that you might not have to work outside of the home in order to pay your bills. Your children are only young once. Once that time is gone, it’s gone forever.

People say that money is the most valuable resource in the world, but I disagree. TIME is the most valuable resource in the world. Once you lose it, you lose it forever. You can make more money, but you CANNOT make more time!

After my husband of 14 years of marriage abandoned us quickly, my kids and I ended up in a homeless shelter, but I was bent on not having to go back to work. I had been home with my kids their whole lives. They already lost their dad; I wasn’t going to let them lose me too!

I was bound and determined to let nothing stop me from staying home with them. I didn’t want to miss a single moment of their precious little lives. Mocked, persecuted, and laughed at, I have the last laugh now. I am a successful, single, work-at-home-mom and I feel that if I can do it without many of the resources you probably have, anyone can.

In order to stay home with your kids, you’ll need to know how to live a frugal life. Here are the best articles to learn to do that in a jiffy….

My most popular book: How to Become Financially Free

You will also need to know how to make extra money from home to help your family get out of debt or add to your family’s income to get ahead. Don’t worry, there is a ton more coming on this subject soon, but these will get you started in the right direction.

My favorite way of making money from home is blogging.

My most popular books:

Everyone needs encouragement every now and then…these posts are some of the most encouraging and awe-inspiring you will find…

If you are going to be a stay at home mom, you’ll need to learn to balance everything and get more organized…..

  1. Hi Sarah! I love your blog! Thank you for sharing all this wonderful helpful information. I can’t wait to get started! Do you have any tips on saving money with pics? I need to clear some space in my phone (too many pics). My first thpught is to run to walmart and transfer all my pics to a disc. I share the same disgust for wslmart as you do. However, as far as picture services, what other choice do I have?

      • Wow! I’m going to go ahead and say, I think you’ve got all the answers. Lol so for now on, I’m going to ask you before I do anything! 🙂 While there are no Staples store closer to me than 50 miles, they offer FREE shipping! Wuuuut? PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE and FREE returns if that’s needed. That’s unheard of! Why didn’t I know that before I ordered office supplies from office max? I wasted a lot of money in shipping. Thanks girl. You are so awesome! I’ll pray for you, you know, cuz God is awesome and praying works 😉 ♡ ya.

        • Wendy, Thank you for your kind words. I definitely don’t know everything and there are lots of different ways of accomplishing the same thing, 🙂 but I’ve been doing this a while now, so pretty good at it. Yeah, their shipping is free for $50+ orders, and if you have one of their cards (I believe it’s the PLUS card), you get free shipping on any amount, which makes it nice. Their price match guarantee is pretty cool. Their returns are awesome. One time I wanted to take something back that was $15 and apparently the purchase was over a year ago! Talk about a busy girl. Most stores offer 90 days and they got it approved by a manager and took it back, no questions asked. Their customer service is excellent to say the least.

  2. Hello Sarah! It is so nice to have found your blog and your amazing cost saving tips! Our family is living here in Hong Kong but will try to apply as many of your tips that are relevant. Looking forward to keeping in touch! Take Care, BAM

  3. Hi Sarah, I am so so excited I found your blog! This is exactly the kind of information, resources, and advice I’ve been looking for. I had always wanted to be able to stay at home with my two children instead of working but could never figure out how exactly to afford it.

    • Welcome Misty. I’m so glad you are here. 🙂 ANYONE can stay home with their kids, seriously. It’s not hard, you just need the right information. Starting this fall, I’m going to go in depth on how I’ve been able to make money from home for the last 14 years! I hope you’ll join me.

  4. I use your writable calendars all the time, and have used all the ones up until December 2015. I was wondering when the 2016 monthly calendars will become available.

  5. You are a kindred spirit-though I am 56 years old. I have 5 children. My husband died very young and I remarried and divorced. My time with my babies was everything to me. Thank God I play violin and was able to make it-though barely teaching at home. I got really good at shopping and never wasted. My babies grew up! They live sensibly, eat healthy, and are kind to the earth. My only daughter is a stay at home mom-in fact I recommended your blog to her today. I teach at a school now but my dream is to start a blog that would mostly appeal to older single women, but I am a writer at heart so I don’t want it “clinical”. I am concerned that I will not be able to teach and blog well-would love your thoughts on that. I so admire what you are doing. How many lives you may impact with your message! So Godspeed. Mothers like you give me hope for this planet.

    • Thank you Michele. 🙂 I’m not really sure. Without knowing you personally, it’s really hard to say. Perhaps a future post would be helpful of the kind of attributes a blogger needs to possess to be successful….I’ll have to chew on that a little more.

  6. Thank you for being an inspiration! I appreciate your ideas on organizing! You’re beautiful and I pray you are blessed with this business. I love that you got yourself out of a very difficult situation! I’m involved in a shelter from the storm ministry in our town. Working to get “homeless” rather abandoned, woman with children back on their feet. Bless you!! Sherri

  7. You are exactly the kind of inspiration I have been looking for… I am new to the idea of blogging and have spent the last couple of nights reading article after article and blog after blog to learn how to get started in what looks like it could be an amazing opportunity coming at exactly the time I need it to. I am a single mom – dad refuses to pay child support so I work 3 jobs – 2 of which are as an emergency dispatcher and I drive many hours a day and pay a babysitter $600 a month to sleep at my house so I can work overnight so that I can be there for my daughter after school and in the evening before bed. I am overworked, underpaid, overwhelmed and completely exhausted – and still I cannot get ahead of the $$ disasters. I just know there has to be a better way and I believe I am being pulled in this direction for a reason. I will continue to read as much as possible over the next week and then I am going to jump in head first and make this work for me!! I have even enlisted the support of my 11 year old daughter who immediately asked if she could write her own blog!! If nothing else we will grow in experience together!!

Thank you for being there and sharing your experiences! It helps to know we are not alone in the struggle!!

    • Absolutely Cheri. <3 My daughter helps a lot with this blog too. There are things that she is better at than me. For example, apparently I'm bad at coming up with post titles. It takes me like 30 minutes to think of one that she can do in under a minute! Today, I spent about 2 hours thinking of a post title. I gave up and waited for her to come home from school to ask her. I literally timed her without her knowing. She came up with the title in 3 minutes flat! I was a little annoyed. LOL. I don't know how she does that! ROFL.

  8. Thank you for making a printable fillable free calendar as easy and as pretty as you did. I expect I’ll remember your kindness everytime I use it.
    Thanks again.

  9. Hi Sarah! I am so inspired by you! I am amazed about all the things God has done through you and I just feel so happy for you that you can stay home with your kids. I am not a mommy yet but my husband and I really want to have the independence to raise them and I want to be a stay at home mom! I really want to do my own blog and I am so excited to start! There are a lot of topics I would love to write about as well! I pray the Lord will continue doing amazing things in your life! You are such a beautiful example of His love!!

  10. Hi Sarah! I’m so glad I stumbled upon your blog. It is so refreshing to hear of someone who knew what God was calling her to, obeyed that call (of staying home with your kiddos), and was tangibly blessed by her obedience. I choose to stay home with my boys because it is what’s right for my family, and I believe God will honor that. But man, making ends meet on a single income (one that barely pays a living wage even if we didn’t have kids) is tough. Sometimes it’s hard to want to keep obeying, when it’s so much easier to just go get a job (or do whatever other “I’m relying on myself” based action applies to your situation). Anyway, I love how you’ve successfully honored and relied on God AND ALSO acknowledged your own responsibility to steward your resources well. Good for you. I only hope I can do that as well!

    • Will pray that you are able to Melissa. For me, I just wanted to be home with my kids. I chose to live a meager life in order to do that, and as I obeyed God with whatever money He gave me (fumes/barely skating by at the time), He blessed more and more. I think that it was important for me to realize that He WAS allowing me to stay home. Even skating by, being with my kids, is better than working and never seeing them as a single mom to me. I’d encourage you to not look around to anyone else and what they are doing, because everyone’s situation is completely different, and just continue to ask God what He wants for YOUR family…sounds like you’re doing a great job of that and He will bless it…maybe not in this life, but for SURE in Heaven (sometimes He DOES bless here on Earth too obviously 🙂 ). <3

  11. Hi Sarah

Today I received and read your blog about not wanting to live after your divorce! Whilst my divorce happened 4 years ago, today I find myself at a point where it’s not the divorce that has hit me, but another life hit that has laid me low……no job! I found myself feeling very sorry for me and your blog couldn’t have come at a better time!! On reading your blog I finally found that it’s okay to feel low, but know that it will pass and get better; that today is the beginning of another Chapter in my life!

For that timely blog I can’t thank you enough!

    many thanks

  12. Hi Sarah, I love your site. I actually ordered a kindle so I can download your ebook. I needed one anyway.
Hey, I tried to connect to your facebook page and it said it is expired. Do you have a new facebook page?

Thanks again for your testimony, being an overcome and rejoicing in the guidance and trust you have in Jesus.

  13. You’re truly inspiring! I’m going through the same thing you did when you started your blog. I hope I can become someone like you ☺️

  14. You are a true inspiration. I’m in a situation where I need to start over again, and I’m trying to follow your advice (and attitude). Hopefully, things will be much better in a few months. Thank you for all your tips.

  15. Hey Sarah! You have truly inspired me. For a while now I feel like the Lord is prompting me to write a blog and your advice has been getting me there! It’s a bit daunting and overwhelming, but I’m taking advantage of the January 2017 deal with Bluehost. Might come to you for some questions! 🙂
