I think that in any type of relationship, especially a romantic one, it’s so important to always do things “just-because” to make them feel special, wanted, needed, valued, treasured.
Love is like a flower in a garden. It needs proper care, consideration, constant watering. We can’t just water a flower once a year on a special occasion, for example, and think the flower will thrive the rest of the year.
This goes both ways but we also understand that we can’t change our partner, but we CAN change ourselves. Being the type of spouse you want HIM to be. Show him that love and care, constantly pouring out to him in romantic ways.
Men, while they won’t admit it, want to be treasured. They want to be adored and respected. This is how we can become a better wife (sanctification) and help him to realize what a jewel he has found in you. 💎 When he remembers how blessed he is to have you, he will naturally and automatically treat you better (Matthew 13:44 applies here).
Pour out the love for him, ❤️ treasure him, SHOW him you love him. And this is one great way we can do that! Another great idea that I did for my guy on the day we started dating is here.
It may be a simple act, print and color this page, write a sweet message on the back and put it on his nightstand or in his nightstand drawer to find, but it packs a powerful message to him: YOU CARE. 🔥 You’re taking time to think about him in a loving and consistent way.
