So often, we try to find our identity in so many other things.
In our marriage, we are a WIFE.
In our children, we are a MOM.
In our money, we are RICH.
In our status, we are a boss or this or that.
Anything but in God.
If we seek to desire God with ALL our hearts, we need to find our identity in Christ. So it begs to ask, who ARE we in Christ?
What does HE call us?
How does HE see us?
What does HE think of us?
This post, what God calls us, is vital to our understanding of how God sees us, and therefore, how we should see ourselves. It’s a great study to do to dive deeper into the thoughts and mind of God. Because truly as believers, knowing Him deeper, helps us to know ourselves more, as we were created in His image (Genesis 1:27). ❤️

What is a “Living Stone”?
In the Bible days, they were directed to put up a large “standing stone” as a marker for certain things. Sometimes, they’d have a victory in a battle or something like that and they would put up a standing stone so that others, who came to their region, could ask what the standing stone was all about and it would open up for a conversation about how they fought victoriously because God helped them win the battle. It was meant to be a conversation starter in those times as well as a reminder of what God did for them in their lives.
When God calls us a living stone, it is saying we are the standing stone, but living. We are not dead like a stone, but alive. Basically, we are walking testimonies, ambassadors of Christ, and people should notice there is something different about us so much that they feel compelled to ask us about our God.
