Today I’m going to be sharing with you a free printable weekly cleaning checklist I created for you! I’m so excited!
Free Printable Weekly Cleaning Checklist
I am always getting asked the question, “How do you do it all?”
Let me first start out by saying I do NOT do it all. There are plenty of days where my house is a mess and you cannot even walk into my laundry room because of the heaping piles of clothes. But, with that said, I do try to stay as organized as possible to help me make it through each day. I am very detail-oriented and love having a daily to-do list.
With three young boys, two dogs, and working from home as a blogger, I have definitely been struggling with trying to keep my house clean. It is hard to set aside time just to clean. So, to help me stay on top of managing my house, I have created this totally adorable weekly cleaning checklist. It’s like an adult chore chart! 🙂
If you are like me and struggle to keep your house clean, then you will love using a cleaning schedule. There are so many times that I set out to clean a particular room and then get distracted. This new printable will help me to stay focused on each cleaning task.
I have broken up the weekly cleaning checklist into separate days except for on the weekends. I combined Saturday and Sunday because I personally try not to clean over the weekend unless I have to.
I’ve created a blank weekly cleaning checklist so that you could fill in each of the tasks you want to do. The purpose is to create a schedule that works for you (here’s more cleaning checklists for you to choose from). Even though I do a load of laundry a day, you may not, so I did not want to fill it in for you. Your cleaning schedule will be unique to your lifestyle.
Once you start using it, you will start to find a nice cleaning routine. You can use this checklist on a monthly basis so that you are completing the same cleaning tasks on the same days. For example, Mondays may be set aside to clean your toilets, windows, or even for changing bed linens. This way you are cleaning each item at least once a week.

To help you get started I have made a list of items that you can add to each day of the week:
Kitchen/Dining
Wipe down appliances
Clean out fridge
Organize pantry
Mop floors
Wipe down cabinets, windowsill, door handles, light switches and baseboards
Bathroom
Scrub shower/bathtub
Clean toilets
Wipe down sink
Clean mirrors
Disinfect light switches and door handles
Wipe down baseboards and cabinets
Bedroom
Make beds
Dust
Vacuum/mop
Wipe down and disinfect fan, blinds, windowsill, door handles and baseboards
Change linens
Living Space
Sweep/mop
Vacuum
Dust
Clean upholstery
Wipe down windowsills, door handles, light switches, baseboards and remotes
Some of my everyday tasks include:
Make beds
Vacuum
Dishwasher
Wipe kitchen counters
Sweep floors
Laundry
Other tasks:
Empty garbage
Change towels & wash cloths
Remove clutter
To get started, print out this blank weekly cleaning schedule and figure out the tasks you want to be cleaned each day. You may find it easier to break it down by each room in your house. For example, you may clean your bathrooms on Tuesday and your kitchen on Wednesday. This is one of the reasons why I left this printable blank. It will be easier for you to write down a schedule that works best for you and your family.
I cannot wait to get started with this cleaning checklist myself as well. Not only will my house be much cleaner, but I adore using printables. Win-Win!
If you’re looking for an entire planner to organize your whole life, here’s a great one
• Other printables are either functional OR cute. I bridge the gap between the two. Since I'm a single mom and don't have time to mess around and am a kid at heart, I love something that actually propels me forward and gets the job done quickly, while still having that super cute vibe I'm known for.
• I'm a graphic designer FIRST. This means my printables, whether free or paid for, will always be of the highest quality and print crisp and clear on any printer.
• I love what I do and I do the work myself. I'm not hiring these out. This is my life, my hobby, my passion, my heart.
• My fans are obsessed with my work. To date, I've made over $23M on printables alone (organically) in the past 8 years.
Yes! Except for some large binders, all printables on the blog are 100% free for personal use. I make these because I genuinely want you to have something cute and helpful right now without having to spend a dime. You deserve a life that feels more peaceful, more organized, and more you, and if a simple printable can make your day feel lighter, I am so happy to give that to you.
Absolutely! You're welcome to print as many copies as you need for your own students or church groups. I only ask that you do not edit them in any way (leaving the full copyright line in tact) or sell them or host the digital files on other websites. Please always link back to this post to share with others.
For best results, I recommend printing on 8.5"x11" white paper. These are professionally designed as high-resolution PDFs so they will stay crisp and clear, making them perfect for any printer.
