Years and years ago, I splurged on some bath and hand towels from a company (I don’t even remember now what company it was). The towels were special because they had our last name initials on them and I used them in the guest bathroom.
I felt like a million bucks, I have to admit. It was the COOLEST thing. I mean, I was always that girl who loved school supplies as a kid and so whenever I saw my name on pencils or rulers or something cool for school, I HAD to have it. It just was the most coolest thing ever to me. 💖
So you can imagine, how excited I was, now as a ‘grown up’ to find something more “adult-ish” to have in my home that had my name of it. 🤩
But as life would have it, I walked into the guest bathroom not shortly after they arrived and found dark brown stains all over the towel. I knew they wouldn’t come out and the towel was blue so I couldn’t just bleach it out. I asked my ex-husband what happened and he said, “Yeah, I dried my hands on it.”
…AFTER he just worked on his car. 🤯
Seriously, I hated him. He was always doing those kinds of things to me PURPOSELY (yes, he admitted years later he did it all purposely), just to drive me nuts. Just to really make my life soooo miserable. Being married to someone like that, who purposely TRIES to make your life a living Hell is really, really tough. 💯 But I got through it and was a really GREAT wife, and I died to myself daily, treating him well despite how I was feeling inside while we were married (he ended up abandoning us and we ended up in a homeless shelter. He was having many affairs and several babies by different women. It was a nightmare, but I got through it. If you’re dealing with a similar situation, this post will help…remember, we can’t change our husbands, but we CAN change how we view things and God is absolutely our protection! 💎)
