You look around and see couples everywhere, and it just feels lonely. Valentine’s Day can be sad if we let it.
I’ve been there. I get it.
Year after year, I know how that feels. It stings. Waiting for God to bring me someone who’s worthy of my heart. Waiting for God to do something in the situation. Waiting patiently. It’s tough.
But instead of focusing on what’s missing, I think it’s really important to celebrate every moment of life 🎉 and give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)!
So instead of sitting there and feeling sorry for myself, I choose to celebrate. Because being a single woman CAN be a joyful time TOO.
Honestly, if you think about it, being married has its problems too, and whether you’re single or married, you’re just trading one set of problems for another. 💯
Being single, you can watch as many chick flicks as you want. There’s no one to fight over your husband leaving his dirty socks all…over…the house! Or on your pillow! #truestory 😆
You can keep the thermostat at whatever you want, and you don’t have to cook a Thanksgiving dinner every single night because your husband truly does not understand the meaning of leftovers. 😂
Never again will you walk out of the shower, only to find your husband wearing your high heels, your skirt, and yes, your bra….TWICE. #scarredforlife 😳
Don’t get me wrong, marriage can be a beautiful thing, IF you’re married to the RIGHT person. ❤️
So today, instead of feeling bad, lift yourself up! 🤗 Be thankful that you’re NOT married to the wrong man. That you have the freedom to do what you want, go wherever you want, and SPEND whatever you want at the drop of a hat. 😉
👉 Celebrate the fact that you have AMAZING friends in your corner.
It really can be a blessed occasion. So get out there and celebrate YOU!!! Have some fun. Enjoy life. 🎉
