As parents, we want so desperately to plant seeds of goodness in our children’s hearts. I know for me, I eat, breathed, and slept instilling goodness and kindness, love and mercy into my kids since they were babies.
Did it work? Not always. But that never negated my responsibility to God to take my task of being a mom seriously and to do my absolute best, despite incredibly huge challenges…like being a single mom after my ex-husband abandoned our family.
All the sudden, out of the blue, I was responsible for taking on both roles without any help and it was tough. But God is faithful, and He walked me through many waters. Day by day as I remained faithful in my kids lives to show up for them in a real and meaningful way, to help them, to love on them, to serve them, guide them, and protect them. 💎
Here’s what I want you to know. Despite it all being a huge challenge, growing, shaping, guiding the minds and hearts of little ones, God never expects us to be perfect. He only requires that we try our absolute best. That we run the race with endurance (Hebrews 12:1-2).
When we do that, we ARE a good parent. Not perfect, but the best we can be and that’s all God expects from us.
Whether or not they actually practice goodness, become a believer, or love God, is THEIR responsibility and I think that as parents, we tend to take that responsibilty upon ourselves. I know I did.
When my kids messed up, *I* felt bad! I felt like somehow I had failed them, like I wasn’t good enough, doing a good enough job, even though I was running my guts out and trying my absolute best to hold everything together and to give them the best life I could, all on my own. It just never seemed good enough.
If you’re feeling like that today, there’s hope! 🙏
God knows our frailty. He MADE US! He knows we are weak, He knows the constant struggles and barrages of problems we, as humans, face. He knows all that. He understands. He doesn’t expect perfection. 💯
To often, the list of the 10 commandments are spoken to make people feel guilty. They scream…you’re not perfect. And we’re not, but God never expected us to be. HE carries that weight!!
He created Adam and Eve fully knowing beforehand that they’d sin. He knew the exact moment they’d fail, even before they did, and decided to make them anyway!
How beautiful is that?!
Knowing we wouldn’t be perfect, knowing we’d fail and mess up, He…MADE US ANYWAY!!!!
He loves us anyway.
Listen, if you’re trying your best, your absolute best with your children, irregardless of the results, you ARE doing a good enough job. 💯
Your job isn’t to make your children perfect; they, like us, never will be. Your job as a parent is to instill the love of Christ in them and pray your guts out that they give their lives to Him, that they follow in your pattern of your walk with Him. That you can shine your light into them, and teach them about Christ in a real and meaningful way. 🥰
If you’re doing that, you’re good, and NO ONE, can condemn you!
Don’t let others shame you into saying you’re a bad parent. If you’re trying your best, you ARE good enough. I personally needed to hear that a LONG time ago and someone out there needs to hear it today. ❤️
You’re enough. 🤗

• Other printables are either functional OR cute. I bridge the gap between the two. Since I'm a single mom and don't have time to mess around and am a kid at heart, I love something that actually propels me forward and gets the job done quickly, while still having that super cute vibe I'm known for.
• I'm a graphic designer FIRST. This means my printables, whether free or paid for, will always be of the highest quality and print crisp and clear on any printer.
• I love what I do and I do the work myself. I'm not hiring these out. This is my life, my hobby, my passion, my heart.
• My fans are obsessed with my work. To date, I've made over $23M on printables alone (organically) in the past 8 years.
Yes! Except for some large binders, all printables on the blog are 100% free for personal use. I make these because I genuinely want you to have something cute and helpful right now without having to spend a dime. You deserve a life that feels more peaceful, more organized, and more you, and if a simple printable can make your day feel lighter, I am so happy to give that to you.
Printables, graphics, backgrounds, SVGs, fonts, and design elements on this site are for personal use only. You may not alter them or redistribute them for free or monetary gain without written consent from the author, Sarah Titus. If you want to share these resources with others, please share the link to the blog post. Teachers & Churches: You may share these with your classes, colleagues, and congregation as long as they are not edited in any way.
Absolutely! You're welcome to print as many copies as you need for your own students or church groups. I only ask that you do not edit them in any way (leaving the full copyright line in tact) or sell them or host the digital files on other websites. For best results, I recommend using standard 8.5"x11" white paper. Since these are professionally designed as high-resolution PDFs, they'll stay crisp and clear on any printer. To print, simply download the PDF to your device and open your printer settings. Select "Fit to Page" to ensure the printable looks perfect.
