Scripture is full of places where it very honestly tells us that we, as believers, WILL suffer.

It’s not out of the ordinary, it’s not shocking, it’s not surprising, it’s actually very common.

We live in a world completely hostile toward our Savior, who kills prophets and tries to silence anyone speaking the truth. And yet, as Christians, we are still called to stand, even amongst persecution, for the sake of His name.

But our world is not any different at all than the world in the Bible times.

Saul (later known as Paul), before his conversion, purposely sought out Christians to kill them.

Nero, a Roman emperor in the first century killed Christians and used their bodies to light his garden parties. 🥺

And the saddest of all, at least to me, is the Crusades. GENUINE Christians killing other genuine Christians. 😭

The world is full of violence, and it started with Cain and Abel. It’s not new, it’s expected.

So how do you survive in such a hostile world, all the while trying to obey the Bible and share your faith with those who need it the most?

How do you encourage yourself when times get tough and things get super heavy and you feel like giving up?

The Bible doesn’t shy away or hide that we will go through tough times, but there’s also hope. It’s a two-sided coin…pain and misery yes, but vindication, overcoming, reconciliation, VICTORY! 💪
