Cookies in a Jar: Children's Gift Idea

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Child :)
  • 1 Mason Jar
  • Ribbon
  • Decorative Tag
  • Colored Cellophane
  • TO: Tag
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • Fill to top of jar with semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Jar
  2. cup butter or margarine softened
  3. eggs, slightly beaten
  4. teaspoon vanilla
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Thoroughly blend together the butter, egg, and vanilla.
  7. Empty jar of cookie mix into the butter mix.
  8. Mix until completely blended.
  9. Spray cookie sheet with non-stick spray.
  10. Drop teaspoons full of batter about 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
  11. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
