I used to sit there, in a comfy chair, and look around my home. At the time, I sold on eBay. I was one of the top 5 eBay sellers in my niche. I made the most money and had everything. My little set up in my little corner of the world was pretty amazing.
I had it all…except purpose. I wasn’t fulfilled. Yeah, I made good money and put smiles on children’s faces who bought my toys, but…it wasn’t enough.
I felt like I was wasting my time. “I have so much more potential in me,” I thought. I can help people, truly change lives. Selling on eBay was a great way to make a fantastic living as a single mom, but it wasn’t fulfilling me as a person.
When God convicted me to start a blog, I argued with Him. “I don’t have the money to PAY for a blog, I told Him.” It’s impossible. I’m already working 80 hours a week on eBay, how could I possibly fit in another 20-40 hours a week for a blog?
As time went on, God convicted me more and more, to the point where I knew…I…JUST….KNEW…He wanted me to start a blog.
Out of obedience, I started a blog with my name on it. It was mine. It represented me, who I am, what I want to become. But I couldn’t afford to keep it up. Blogging has expenses. It costs me now, about $1,500-$2,000/month to run this blog, believe it or not. While it doesn’t cost anywhere NEAR that when you’re first starting, there was a couple hundred dollars that I needed to come up with upfront…and couldn’t.
My solution…being a VA (a virtual assistant).
Imagine me, single mom, working 80 hours a WEEK on eBay to pay my bills, working about 10-20 hours a week on VA work, and another 20 hours on the actual blog itself. I didn’t sleep that first year, let’s just say that. 🙂 But I knew what I wanted. I wanted a life of fulfillment. I wanted to help people. To change people. To make a difference in the world. And I knew the way to do that, was starting a blog.
So, I fought.
I fought with every ounce of me I had to make my dream come true…to help you.
VA work came very easily to me. I was naturally good at it. Made good money to be able to pay for my blog. And each night, I cried out to God to help me be able to quit eBay. To be able to make enough on the blog to quit one of those jobs. Eventually I did, and I went on to making $10k/month my first year blogging. By my second year, I was making $23k/month.
I never imagined that I could make such great money doing something I’m ALREADY passionate about…helping others. And for ME, being a virtual assistant was the tool that God used to get me there.
So, when I talk about being a VA, it’s dear to my heart. It helped me start a blog! It helped me become who you see today!!! It was that stepping stone for me. And I love to teach others about this wonderful stepping stone as well!!!
Perhaps you just need quick money for Christmas, or perhaps you are looking for a way to make quality stable income for your family.
Whatever it is that you need the money for, being a virtual assistant is, in my opinion, the EASIEST, fastest, and funnest way to make money online. But if you want to make good money as a VA, you need to know some things…things that people won’t readily share with you.
That’s where I come in. I wrote a section in my course called, How to Make Real Money as a Virtual Assistant, and you can find this information in my Honest Bloggers Academy Course. I want to show you how you can make good money from the comfort of your own home, in your own time, on your own terms for your family.
